    Ladders or equivalent should be the tool according to the defense tools used.

      Not really.

      When the defenders are all ranged, then you dont need ladders. If defenders are only melee, you dont need mantlets.

      But if defenders are mixed, then you need both ladders and mantlets.

    I thought the offensive tools were to cancel the defensive tools as I didn’t know they relied on the soldiers but I used a suicide soldier in that wave anyhow.

      Do a test attack against a target which has only ranged attackers and use only melee attackers with mantlets, but not ladders.

      But watch out! If there are villagers in defense formation, then they count as melee and you have to use ladders.

    I prefer to attack the Right flank and the Center for this one. The Center has fewer of the stronger defender. Center also allows you to send more troops (and more mantlets).
